Stepping Up Your Sneaker Game

If you live in the QC and you love fashion and you do not have any swanky sneakers, male or female, (eh hem, se moi?!) it is time to up your sneaker game.  Cool sneaks are ALL the rage.  It is virtually impossible to walk into a store without at least two sales associates and one customer donning the coolest, hippest pair of sneaks paired perfectly with their destroyed or 1980's styled denim and oversized sweater or haphazardly paired with a prairie dress and denim jacket.  Starting with the Creme de la Creme-see and be seen Golden Goose on over to Isabel Marant, Gucci, D.A.T.E, Ash and Dolce Vita, cool sneaks can be yours at any price point.  As an almost exclusive heel wearer, wanting to be sure I get my CPW return on investment, last summer I reached for a more accessible but every bit as equally fun pair by Dolce Vita. They are the perfect stylish addition to my wardrobe for photo shoot days where I need to be able to move quickly.

In a few different muted shades, the Bobby suede wedge sneaker is a very versatile high top.

I LOVE the Isabel Marant metallic and leather lightening bolt sneaker.

Paired with my favorite denim overalls, I styled these oh so fun sparkly red white and blue metallic Gucci sneakers in the upcoming issue of SouthPark Magazine.

One of my uber chic clients owns this very aspirational pair by Valentino.

If I do decide to reach for the fancy schmancy style, I am almost certain it will be THIS pair... perfect for cheering on my Tar Heels in style.

Charlotte area professional face painter, Ashley Hamm, who got her start working at Disney has taken her talent from face to sneakers!  I've got to get a pair of her customed painted kicks!  Check her out at Hamm It Up on Instagram

Fall '17 Trend: Chinoiserie Chic

It is officially the year of the dragon.  I cannot get enough of chinoiserie.  If I could, I'd lather an entire room in it or hang gorgeous mural paper like this affordable option by Anthropologie.  I am 100% a maximalist kind of a girl.  ALL of the flowers, birds, dragons garden creatures and colors pull be closer and closer!  That and all things Gucci right now.

These red rhinestone dragon booties are a style explosion for the visual senses.

I recommended these color block tailored pants to a client.  Model, fashion bloggers style maven Rocky Barnes wore them on her Instagram this week.  I love the colors and patterns. Here is the dress version as well.  Mega style at an accessible price.

I think I definitely need this dragon mini dress STAT.

Create a little tension by dressing up your utility jacket with an embroidered dragon.

Gucci On My Mind

What can I say?  What can anybody say?  I'm gaahh for Gucci.  It's just too d@mn good.  And on top of it all, they go and raise the bar and put my favorite little accouterment, the pussybow, on almost every blouse or dress. I do not own a single piece of Gucci anything, but some day.  When the timing is right I'm gonna.  What do you think?

I want to put one of my female attorney clients in this dress all day long.  Walk in the court room.  Boom.  Case closed.

And this pleated metallic skirt.  Boogie Nights Forever and ever.

A couple of fabulous clients own the popular and brilliant metallic mid heel pump

These rainbow square sunglasses?  Really?  I mean seriously?  They look like something one of the hot male subjects would wear in a Stephanie Vovas photograph.  Totes Dirk Diggler style.

Gucci Inspired!

How great is this Gucci inspired vintage velvet bag?  My uber fashionable friend Pam snagged it for me at Seeline Vintage in Charleston, SC, owned and operated by M.K. Quinlan.  From her writing in various interiors and style publications, as well as her previous post as Senior Style Editor at Garden & Gun, I have known of M.K.'s work, but it wasn't until this bag that I learned she also has a vintage boutique I must visit STAT!  I think the bag was the perfect top off for my Christmas Day outfit.  What do you think?

Of course, I was eager to learn more about the origination of this bag, so I did a quick Google search and found this one.  If you are a vintage junkie like me, you might enjoy learning a little more about the bag here.  It's the only one I could find.  Have you ever seen a bag similar to this?

Fun, right?  And with that, here are a few of my favorite Gucci originals red, green and black.  Can't see them in your reader? Click HERE.
