Embroidered Dress

Temperley London Flutura Embroiderey

Thank you to my amazing client/friend who sent me a gift certificate to one of my favorite on line shopping destinations, Shopbop, as a very kind thank you gesture.  It was totally not necessary, but I won't lie in that I am very excited about how I put it to use.  Today a box arrived at my door, and inside that box was another magical box...

Since I'm always combing the internet for one of a kind items for my clients (and at least window shopping and wishing for myself), I saw this Flutura Embroidered Bag by Temperley London, and I had a small fainting spell. It was on sale, and only three bags remained, so I immediately pulled the trigger.

Made of dyed Alpaca, silk and embroidered twill, the bag seemed to gently, kindly, lovingly call my name... "Whitley, Whitley..." It speaks to my bohemian side in a way so few others have.

The bag is now sold out through Shopbop but appears still available on the Temperley London site, along with the dress, dinner scarf, shawl and clutch and slippers.  Luxe drool worthy embroidery for days....

Does anyone else love the embroidery on this bag (and dress and coat and shawl and slippers and clutch) as much as I do?

Killer Dresses Right Now

So yes, I have a thing for dresses. A  major thing, and I've had it since high school. I have been collecting cocktail dresses for longer than I remember.  Even if there was no occasion.  Literally, I have dresses with tags on them since high school.  As a wardrobe stylist, I would tell you to purge 'em... unless they are just works of are that are that cool.  OR unless you write a fashion blog and you think there might come a day you will use it if for no other reason than to play dress up and get your picture taken, acting like you didn't actually know you were having your picture taken, but you did.  Because you write a blog.  If you do, you know.  Look, I've been playing dress up since I plopped from my mother's womb, and I don't think I will ever stop.  Consider this an invitation to in-box me if you want to pop a cork on the bubbly, turn the tunes way up high and join the twirling fantasy.  The only question is: Which dress shall we wear when we do?
