Styling Merritt Hunt

I recently had a blast styling blond gamazon Merrit Hunt at the

Heels.com

office atop the Nascar Hall of Fame building in uptown Charlotte. Working alongside Daytona Beach, Florida based photograher,

Kristia Knowles

and Charlotte photographer

Doug Brooks

, this particular weekend was one of creative collaboration and fun for all.  Thanks to one of my tres hip clients, I walked on set with some pretty fantastic 80's-inspired garb for one of our two days of shooting. I look forward to sharing more.  Any other Material Girls out there?

Styling Addie McBryde

I was so excited when young extraordinarily talented Charlotte based photographer Zach Alston reached out to me to style this shoot with him.  This was a day of firsts for me, including working with the unassuming yet undeniably stunning model,

Addie McBryde

and the very talented

Sarah Havas

on hair and make up.  We shot on location at

Landsford Canal State Park

just outside of Rock Hill, SC.  Despite our well laid plans to capture at least eight looks, it was comic relief achieving the five seen here.  Needless to say, this was one of my favorite shoots to date in that I was able to cultivate ensembles adhereing to my naturally unlogical sense of style.  Wardrobe consisted of current

Anthropologie

stunners, including items seen in the first and last photos, combined with threads from my own closet and several belonging to my Grandmother.

Thank you for letting me share my passion.

Styling Lauren Egan

Lauren Egan is one of the sweetest, most precious girls with whom I've had the chance to recently work.  I teamed up with my crew, Doug Brooks and Deme Fourtounis, otherwise known these days as my ''other family'' for a fun day in the studio and on the streets of Noda.  Styled with a combination of modern Anthropologie threads and a few vintage as well as modern favorites from my own accessories collection, this last outfit is one of my favorites of all time.  Cyndi Lauper meets Carrie Brandshaw equals Girl's Totally Gonna Have Fun.

Thanks so much for letting me share my fun!

On The Farm

Donna and I shot these family photos last spring at my Dad's house.  Paw Paw's Massey was parked in the shed, so cousin Russ drove his new big blue Ford over to Dad's for an all hands on deck photo shoot in efforts to get Garden & Gun Magazine's attention.  My dream job would be styling and/or writing for them. Don't y'all think they totally need me?  Hoping they'll soon bite in my relentless pursuit!  Take a look and let me know what you think.

Thanks so much for being here!

PS-How cute are my people?  Hoping to get them ALL in a shoot together soon!

Fort Mill Magazine

If you follow me on Instagram or Facebook, you may have seen a few weeks ago the big news that my work as a wardrobe stylist made its first editorial cover. The news isn't completely fresh, but looking at these photos, I'm still so excited. Driving home to Asheville on a Friday to visit old friends, I got the call from one of the first photographers I ever worked with, Joseph Bradley, about a job that was to take place on that Sunday.  This meant I had to race back to Charlotte a few hours earlier than planned and put together seven looks in just a few hours.  A huge thank you to Joe for recommending me for the job and to Fort Mill Magazine publishers, Louis and Tracey Roman for taking a chance on me.  I had a wonderful time working with everyone on this set, and since it was shot at Fort Mill High School my Dad was there to cheer me on from the sidelines.  Such a fun experience all the way around, and I can't wait to collaborate with Fort Mill Magazine for the winter publication!  Be sure to check out the on line issue here for wardrobe credits, or please let me know if have any styling questions. I would love to hear from you!

Much love to all of you reading, Whitley

Styling Courtney Spencer

Last weekend I had a wonderful time working with this fresh-faced American beauty, Courtney Spencer. Styling Courtney in an old house dress that belonged to my Grandmother, a few of my own frocks, and some Free People items from Belk Southpark, I headed back to the family farm with my team for some nature-inspired casual moments.  The day was just as lovely as it apperas here, captured in photos by Doug Brooks and through hair and make up artistry by Deme Fourtounis.  Courtney looks so sweet and lovely to me in this last photo.  This was one of my favorite shoots to date.

Thanks for much for reading, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Frank Sinatra's Rolls Royce

Dress, Birdcage, Earrings and Feather Clip c/o: J. Majors Bridal. Photography: Doug Brooks, Carl Miller and Jennie Shantay Nieves. Makeup: Deme Fourtounis. Hair: Jennie Shantay Nieves. Wardrobe: Yours truly. Models: Jillian Mourning and Matt Yost.

I recently had the unique pleasure of shooting Ol' Blue Eyes' Rolls Royce flanked by the lovely Jillian Mourning and handsome Matt Yost on location at this stunning home.  You really must visit J. Majors if you are on the market for wedding attire in or around the Queen City.  The boutique is wall to wall gorgeousness, but one look at this dress, and it was "the one" all over again. Is it just me or is this girl in this dress, leaning on this car in front of this house absolutely breathtaking?

Thanks so much for reading!

Styling Brittney Leigh

I had such a great time styling the beautiful Brittney Leigh recently on my family's farm, taking advantage of so much natural beauty and space.  It was a pleasure to work again with the talented team consisting of Doug Brooks on photography, Jon Silla on lighting and Deme Fourtounis on hair and make-up.  Thank you to Innovative Eye Care, Chezelle Boutique and J.T. Posh for lending some amazing wardrobe pieces.  As you can see, we shot many looks in one day.  Can you guess which one is my favorite?  Click on the image to be directed to the item, or please email me if you have any questions about anything you see here! thequeencitystyle@yahoo.com

Styling Miss North Carolina United States

Last week I had the great pleasure of working with a talented team of individuals in styling Miss North Carolina United States, Victoria Vesce, for a photo shoot before she makes her way to Washington DC to compete in the Miss United States pageant.  Victoria is both a beautiful and lovely girl, and I could not have had more fun styling her in many of my Grandmother's and Great-Grandmother's most beautiful garments.  Thank you to the entire team for such a productive, fulfilling day!
